Reaching operational success through interdisciplinary cooperation

NETcher in the Journal of Cultural Heritage Crime

The Italian Journal of Cultural Heritage Crime has just published a detailed interview of Prof. Christos Tsirogiannis (University of Aarhus, Denmark) and Officer Leonie Bouwknegt (Dutch National Police) by Dr Michela de Bernardin. The paper exposes a concrete cooperation case between European Cultural Heritage specialists and Law Enforcement Agencies, which led to a double seizure of antiquities at TEFAF 2020. It raises key issues in the matter of cultural heritage protection, such as alert rising protocols, restitution and best practices to be promoted in order to strengthen trust and transparency within the trade.

Such paper strongly demonstrates the powerful role to be played by quality information channels such as the Journal of Cultural Heritage Crime for awareness raising and knowledge sharing.

Feel free to visit the Journal of Cultural Heritage Crime website and read the full interview!
