A NETCHER UPDATE on our public conference on Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Heritage – now online, and via YouTube!

Monday 21st September 2020 – 18h00 to 19h00 (CET)

As previously announced, the NETCHER project will organize a public conference in the framework of the European Heritage Days to raise awareness of the illicit trafficking of cultural heritage, and how all citizens can play their role in protecting it.

NETCHER has teamed up with Charlie Danger a famous You Tuber with over 600 000 followers who will animate this interesting, informative, and dynamic event!

European renowned experts will speak to youngsters and adults presenting case studies, and there will be multi-media content, and surely a couple of surprises!

Charlie Danger will animate the sessions and introduce speakers from key NETCHER themes including archaeology, law enforcement, cultural heritage…

We are expecting a wide audience from all over Europe – no registration is needed, just join us here on Monday 21st September at 18h00 (CET).

NETCHER is also collaborating with Charlie Danger to produce something rather special, a short public information video that can be shared everywhere, and by everyone, to raise awareness of the illicit trafficking of cultural goods.

A novel and informative approach has been chosen…Charlie will take us on an exciting journey through history to illustrate some of the main issues of this relevant topic.

The video will feature testimonials from experts in the field such as archaeologists, law enforcement agents, and those who watch over our cultural heritage and their modern-day examples shared.

The video has been launched on 20th September at this link,
