NETCHER HOLDS ITS FIRST SEMINAR!

3 & 4 October 2019, Barcelona

NETCHER – NETwork and Social Platform for Cultural Heritage Enhancing and Rebuilding, a project financed by the 8th Framework Programme of the European Union for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020, held its First Seminar on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th October at the headquarters of Interarts in Barcelona!

The Seminar focused on the state-of-play, the collaborative platform and trans-sectoral cooperation.

European experts and academics from different areas of specialization analyzed these topics  in specific work sessions and workshops .

The NETCHER project addresses the challenge of harmonizing the existing  initiatives  geared towards  the protection of endangered cultural heritage and  illicit trade, with the aim of establishing an international structured network with the participation of a variety of actors such as national governments, NGOs, academics, as well as public and private foundations. The seminar has served to identify the specific uses of the collaborative platform and the next steps to follow-up on the objectives of the project.
